Noble timber has always demanded patience measured in decades. Mogno Bahia® was developed to challenge that paradigm: a commercial forest with an economic cycle of just ten years, with no thinning and two commercial harvests.
Half the forest is harvested in year 5. The other half in year 10.
No tree is removed along the way without generating value. Every one takes part in the forest's commercial output.
Half the seedlings · half the time
almost twice the wood.
Quality A · ~85% heartwood
Quality A+ · IPT validation
over 10 years
Predominantly heartwood
furniture · architecture · interiors.
We develop smart forests — living systems capable of producing noble timber with unprecedented productivity, efficiency and predictability.
Genome Wood Group
Mogno Bahia® grew out of more than 30 years of observing wood in the field, led by a family of woodworkers in Western Bahia. The result is a new genetic foundation for noble tropical hardwood production

Initial information for a technical analysis of the property's forestry suitability
The GWG team analyzes the site's suitability, recommends the planting model and structures the project's technical proposal.
Once the site is technically approved, the producer formalizes the seedling purchase and reserves the project's planting window.
Activation of the GWG Protocol, access to the Mogno Bahia® Producer Platform and continuous technical support throughout the forest cycle.
Our technical team analyzes your region's conditions and comes back with initial guidance, technical materials and, where applicable, a personalized proposal for forest planting.
Climate, soil, terrain and operational context analyzed by the GWG team.
Site validation happens before the seedlings are released.
Each project receives technical parameters matched to its region and operational scale.
